CXT (CERIFICATE X-RAY TECHNICIAN)

Diploma in radiology and imaging technology is a two year diploma program which aims towards a basic understanding of various aspects of radio diagnostic technology and medical imaging techniques. Students will get through training about the use of radiographic equipment, learn how to position patients to get the best images and learn to critique images. Students will develop knowledge and skills such as anatomy and physiology, examination techniques, patient care, professionalism, radiation safety and protection and x-ray equipment.

The Radiology or X-ray & imaging technology course trains student to work as radiology technicians in radiology department of hospital, diagnosis centre and clinics. After undergoing training in basic human anatomy and physiology, student are taught to handle X-ray equipment develop exposed X-ray film using both wet development and computerized x-ray machines. As part of the course, they are given in depth training of CT scan MRI and Ultrasound equipment
